Happy birthday to us!

Yay it’s our 15th birthday today! , it’s a massive celebration for us, because we’ve grown from strength to strength. The time has flown by and the main thing is,  it’s been fun and hard work. What more could we ask?

We thought it would be a great idea to catch up with Danny, the main man, to see how he’s feeling on such a momentous occasion, so we plied him with questions.

How did Essex Banners all startup?

 

We started as a one-man band selling small banners to pub and club owners. I was djing at the time and had many contacts with promoters that I knew would buy them off me. Within a month or so “Don’t stay in” noticed me and put a post out to there 100s of promoters in their forums, and I got 10s of orders. I guess, it’s at that point where I thought “There is something in this”

How has the company grown over the past 15 years?

 

The business has grown through referrals and recommendations. Doing a good job for a customer, big or small, is rewarding not just because it’s great to do a good job, but because happy customers are a great advertisement for what we do. We have also grown our product lines so offering our customers the one-stop shop for ALL their printing needs.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

 

We want to continue with steady growth, maintaining our focus on quality. In five years’ time we aim to have doubled the size of the business and be recognized as the best printing company in the South East for delivering customer satisfaction.

What has been the highlight for you in the time you’ve been in business?

 

Our first employers!  We took on Mandy and Sophie. Both have been great for the business We also have just taken on Ahmed as our marketing manager. We hope to create more jobs as we aim to double in size within 2 years.

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

 

We sometimes hide our light under a bushel – we do fabulous things for our customers and forget that not everyone offers quality as standard.

And finally, how are you going to celebrate?

 

With cake! A beer and ruby 🙂
