I work for a developer and had a last-minute panic because the delivery of a banner showing our masterplan for a development didn’t arrive on time (from a different manufacturer). We found this out on Tuesday evening and needed it for Thursday, as this was the first of three consultation events. I found and contacted Essex Banners and they responded to me very quickly, continuing throughout the evening way past working hours. This continued the next morning too, before working hours, and Danny was very responsive to all my many questions and millions of emails! I ordered the 2.4m by 3m stretch fabric wall. They offered same-day delivery but, to save money, I decided to go up to Chesterfield to collect it straight from their manufacturers. Someone met me to give me the banners and it all went very smoothly, and it was in a portable bag so I could take it back by train. The printing looked fab and really clear and the frame displayed our masterplan really well; it meant that people weren’t huddled over a table looking down! It also was super beneficial that it was double-sided, so lots of people could look at it at the same time. The frame was really easy to set up and take apart which is impressive for something of that size. The photos show it in a couple of the events! Absolutely fabulous - from the initial correspondence through to the actual product! Super easy to submit my own design (AI assisted) and the quality of the finished product blew me away. We ordered a banner for a Pride parade. We requested a next day delivery and, amazingly- true to their word- we got it in less than 24 hours. Quality was excellent. The printing design and colours weren't blurred but very sharp and clear. Material was surprisingly think and not all flimsy at all. What is the deadline to guarantee next day roller banner delivery?

You need to place your order and upload your artwork by 12pm on a working day. Orders placed before 12pm are dispatched the same afternoon and arrive the next working day. Orders placed after 12pm will be dispatched the following working day.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We accept PDF, AI, EPS, and high-resolution JPG or PNG files. Your artwork should ideally be at 100dpi at full size, or 300dpi if supplied smaller. Not sure? Just send what you have — our design team will check it for you.

Can I order next day roller banners on a weekend?

Our dispatch runs Monday to Friday on working days. Orders placed on a Friday before 12pm will arrive the following Monday. Weekend orders will be dispatched first thing Monday morning.

What if my roller banner arrives damaged?

Every order is packed carefully but occasionally damage can happen in transit. If your banner arrives damaged, contact us straight away on 01708 200166 or via WhatsApp on 07418 632219 and we’ll sort a replacement as a priority.

Every order gets a free artwork check and a proof to approve. Nothing goes to print until you’ve said yes.

1. File type

PDF is best for the sharpest result, especially for text and logos. PNG or JPG are fine for photos and Canva designs. Got something else, like a Word document, PowerPoint or a phone photo? Send it anyway and we’ll tell you if it’ll work.

2. Size & shape

Design to the exact size of your banner, or the same shape (for example 2:1 for a 2m × 1m banner). If the shape is different, your artwork gets stretched or cropped.

  • Use our free template. It shows the exact size, the bleed area and the safe area.
  • Keep text and logos away from the edges. Edges are hemmed, stitched or wrapped round the frame, so anything too close can get cut off.
  • Roller banners: check you’ve ordered the same width you designed for (800mm and 850mm are different sizes).

3. Resolution (will it be sharp?)

Aim for 150dpi or higher at full size. For close-up items like roller banners, backdrops and tablecloths, 300dpi is ideal. Logos pulled off a website or social media are usually too low quality. If yours is, we’ll tell you before printing and help you find a better version.

4. Colour (will it match my brand?)

Screens show colour in RGB, but printers use CMYK, so bright reds, oranges and blues can print a little duller. For an exact brand match, send your CMYK or Pantone codes and we’ll match them. Deep blacks on fabric backdrops print slightly softer than on PVC. Ask us if a true black really matters for your design.

5. Made it in Canva or AI?

No problem. From Canva: download as PDF Print. AI-generated images often look great on screen but fall apart when blown up to banner size. Send it over and we’ll make it print-ready, or rebuild it if we need to.

6. Ordering more than one design?

Add each design to your basket separately and upload its own file. Then email us your order number, which file goes with which product, and how many of each.

7. No artwork? Not sure?

Send us your logo, your wording and any ideas, and our designers will put it together for you. Free artwork help comes with every order.

Roller banners are easy to assemble:1. Place the base on a flat surface.2. Extend the support pole and insert it into the base.3. Pull up the banner from the base and attach it to the top of the pole.

6. Can I replace the graphic on my roller banner?

Most standard roller banners are not designed for graphic replacement, but some premium models allow for interchangeable graphics using a cassette-based system.

7. How do I care for my roller banner?

• Store it in the carry case to protect it from dust and damage.• Keep it rolled up when not in use.• Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth (avoid harsh chemicals).

8. How long do roller banners last?

With proper care, roller banners can last several years for indoor use. However, frequent transportation and setup may cause wear and tear over time.

9. What resolution should my artwork be for printing?

For high-quality printing, artwork should be 300dpi resolution, CMYK color mode, and match the required bleed and trim specifications (usually 3-5mm bleed).

10. Can roller banners be double-sided?

Yes! Some roller banners offer double-sided printing, allowing your message to be seen from both directions. These usually have two separate banners within the same base unit.
