Don’t worry. We check every file before it prints.
Every order gets a free artwork check and a proof to approve. Nothing goes to print until you’ve said yes.
1. File type
PDF is best for the sharpest result, especially for text and logos. PNG or JPG are fine for photos and Canva designs. Got something else, like a Word document, PowerPoint or a phone photo? Send it anyway and we’ll tell you if it’ll work.
2. Size & shape
Design to the exact size of your banner, or the same shape (for example 2:1 for a 2m × 1m banner). If the shape is different, your artwork gets stretched or cropped.
- Use our free template. It shows the exact size, the bleed area and the safe area.
- Keep text and logos away from the edges. Edges are hemmed, stitched or wrapped round the frame, so anything too close can get cut off.
- Roller banners: check you’ve ordered the same width you designed for (800mm and 850mm are different sizes).
3. Resolution (will it be sharp?)
Aim for 150dpi or higher at full size. For close-up items like roller banners, backdrops and tablecloths, 300dpi is ideal. Logos pulled off a website or social media are usually too low quality. If yours is, we’ll tell you before printing and help you find a better version.
4. Colour (will it match my brand?)
Screens show colour in RGB, but printers use CMYK, so bright reds, oranges and blues can print a little duller. For an exact brand match, send your CMYK or Pantone codes and we’ll match them. Deep blacks on fabric backdrops print slightly softer than on PVC. Ask us if a true black really matters for your design.
5. Made it in Canva or AI?
No problem. From Canva: download as PDF Print. AI-generated images often look great on screen but fall apart when blown up to banner size. Send it over and we’ll make it print-ready, or rebuild it if we need to.
6. Ordering more than one design?
Add each design to your basket separately and upload its own file. Then email us your order number, which file goes with which product, and how many of each.
7. No artwork? Not sure?
Send us your logo, your wording and any ideas, and our designers will put it together for you. Free artwork help comes with every order.
⏱ In a rush?
Get your artwork and payment to us by 11am for same-day printing. The sooner we have your file, the sooner we can check it and send your proof.
